Profession: Writer/Film Critic.
Tell us about you: Born and (partly) raised on the Isle of Man, I’ve since wandered around England, including a year-long stint in Canada, with Liverpool being my latest port of call. After completing an MA in Journalism, I decided to combine my love of cinema and writing by starting a blog and producing articles for various websites. I’ve also reviewed films on the radio which I found to be really good fun!
What inspires you? Travel. There’s nothing like exploring different cultures to put your own life into perspective.
What do you love about Liverpool? Scousers and their slang. If someone had said to me ‘woolyback’ or ‘geggin in’ a few years ago, I wouldn’t have the faintest idea what they were talking about.
What would your superpower be? Who wouldn’t want to fly? I’d be greedy and have invisibility too, so I can give my favourite sports teams a little extra help.
Favourite local hangout? I haven’t been in Liverpool long, but my shortlist so far would be the Odeon, Tate and Albert Dock.
Tell us a secret: If I could live anywhere in the world, it would have to be in Vancouver.
